Got Spun around on the Freeway

You wonder what some of these a**clowns are thinking sometimes. We need some "punisher justice" out there taking care of these inconsiderate pricks on the road. I don't know if you are originally from the West coast... But I'm in AZ and I have the same problems here. It's the "I'm better than you, and my life and time is more important than yours attitude" that must possess these people to drive like they do.

:cursin: Ok, I'm done...

MikesToy, i hope you are joking. that's not the solution. you will just gonna become one of them.

I got my 4Runner back from the shop yesterday. They did a great job. They replaced the bumper cover, right front headlamp (no obvious damage, but I think some of the plastic was busted that holds it in place), as well as the right front fog lamps, and the plastic trim piece that covers the right front fender. They were able to bend the right front fender back into position (it only had very slight damage). All of this for a $250 deductible.

I was planning on replacing the headlamps anyways because they were starting to age a bit. My bumper looks better than new now.

The total amount for the repair was just under 2k. Looking at the truck after the accident, you would just think that I got scraped by a car as it was trying to pull into a parking spot. The guy at the shop was amazed that it wasn't any more severe after being spun around and hitting the center divide.

Also, the insurance company said that I am not at fault, and it will not count against my record.

I am very pleased, to say the least.

Sorry to hear the new about the f****** who caused the whole mess. I personally would've let the dumba$$ hit me and have them liable for all damages rather than swerving to avoid getting hit and then getting stuck with the repair bill for my 4R or even other cars involved (if I had hit anyone else in the process). I believe that the best defense is a good offense. People rarely get a chance to cut me off like that cuz I hit the gas. They have to be packing alot more horses to get by me and have the balls (or absolute stupidity) to pull a stunt like that.

Then again, the each situation is different. Fortunately you didn't flip and roll your 4R and caused other cars to be involved. Sadly, I don't think insurance companies will let you slide without raising your premiums eventhough it wasn't your fault. Times like these, it would be nice to have a windshield mounted video cam to tape everything. Hope everything works out for you!
