Hey guys! Went to Denver Saturday and got the 4Runner.
It is a 97' 4X4 with 197,xxx miles. Got it for a steal. Paid 4k
for the 4Runner, 4800 after all the dealer fees. Still a pretty good deal.
Here is the link for the pictures from the dealer. Ill take a few of my own this week.
Already put the K&N air filter in. Probably be doing a suspension overhaul in the next few weeks, looks like everything is still stock. Should ride like a brand new ride. After that Ill be driving it till the wheels fall off ( so I say now, until the next upgrade comes!!!) LOL

The link says year is 2000 and 230K miles. Are you sure you bought a 4runner?

Does it have a rear locker? Timing belt done? Have you checked the frame for corrosion? Frame is the first place I look at before purchasing a truck.
4Runner prices in Colorado are crazy! I'll sell my truck in CO when it is time (in 10 years!)

Hahaha yes I bought a 4Runner. I guess they changed/ took the link down since I bought it.
No rear locker. Timing belt was changed at 135k per the CARFAX report.
Minimal rust on the frame. Checked to make it wasnt sprat painted over.
Also brought it to a mechanic to have it looked over. Needs sway bar links. other than that seems to be in great working order.
Even averaged 24mpg driving it home maintaining between 70-80mph.

Yes 24MPG!

Lol yea guys I calculated it correctly. I even did it twice because I was shocked as well. Its a V6 4x4. The tires look a little big, maybe that has something to do with it? It is not lifted or anything though. Bone dry stock.

Nice pick up. I believe you on the 24 MPGs. When I first bought mine, and it was still stock, we took it down to Florida and back. Averaged 24.3 MPGs for the trip, cruising between 70-75mph...it loved to be right at 1800 RPM.

4Runner prices are crazy out here, huh? Been looking at other states, and they aren't nearly as high. I guess people might actually understand what they are paying for!

Good luck for everything in the future!

I was thinking exactly the same thing in regards to the tune up. I am going to do plugs, wires, and fuel filter this weekend though. I fully intend on keeping it for several years. I want to keep her running smooth.

I couldn't believe how much they were going for here! They jacked the sticker price up to 8k by time I got there. Good thing I had the original deal in writing!

Should be going through some easy trails this weekend with some friends ( jeep guys). Hope all goes well. I will post pictures if we go.

Yes I am taking them off. The passenger side is missing the plastic on it. Probably do it this weekend along with the tune up.
