Gotta have the "HUMP"

Has anybody ever found, bought or installed a factory style spoiler for a 2006 4Runner, you know the one with the "HUMP". I currently have an aftermarket spoiler, looks OK, but I gotta have the hump. Everytime I see it, I want it. If you have one, where did you get it from? Are you happy with it?

I searched for months and never found one. There are several sites that show a picture of a spoiler with the hump but those pictures are wrong. I bought and returned two of them because when they showed up they didn't have the hump. Frankly, I could have lived without the hump but they were also cheap crap too! I just wasn't willing to put a cheap substandard spoiler on a $30,000 truck. I had no luck at the salvage yards either. The dealer wants ~$700 for them if I remember right and it's a body part not an accessory. If I could find a factory spoiler for a couple hundred I'd probably do it. I've just got used to it without. I now find it looks just as good without the spoiler, just different.
 
I've been shopping around a lot for the OEM style spoiler, with the hump. Many places do incorrectly advertise the spoilers that they sell by showing the OEM spoiler when that isn't what you are going to get.

According to the responses that I have received from trademotion the spoilers they sell for just over $500 are OEM style, i.e. with the hump. Not much cheaper than the stealership, but I'll save money wherever I can.
 
I got one from www.TRDparts4u.com here and it was misrepresented. I see they now have the correct pictures shown.

I got another one from Wood Dash Experts here and I see they still don't show the correct picture.

Burtman offered to get me an OEM for just under $700, but I just couldn't pull the trigger.

I'd love to hear and see how yours turns out if you order the one for $500. I'd suggest getting something in writing or see a picture of what your getting so you can return it if they send you a non OEM style spoiler.

I agree, pic's before the order would help a lot. Unfortunately, this is my next purchase after my lift, tires, and rims which I'm still budgeting for. I should however be ordering this sometime next month.

As a side note, I'm still waiting for them to send me a pic of the one that they would ship, they only "told me" that it was the OEM spoiler with the hump but have yet to actually send any form of proof.
 
I like my humpless spoiler, its sleeker and matches the 03-05 styling better. The hump one matches the 06 and up but its just so big!
 
I have the "Humpless" Spoiler on my 08. I Believe it was added at the port by Southeast Toyota (SET). I perfer the humpless look. It is even with the top of the roof line and provides a sleeker look IMHO. I feel the "Humped" Spoiler just looks to bulky. Anyway. Opinions are like a$$holes and most stink.

I agree it is all likes and dis-like opinions. For me it just a matter of OEM vs Aftermarket. I like some of the aftermarket ones I just prefer the OEM style when it comes to things like 06 spoiler.

Just my two cents.....if you like the aftermarket ones, save the $$ and get it instead of OEM cause it's a fair bit of $$.
 
I don't currently have one on my rig...yet.

In a previous thread where I was asking pretty much the same question member K.C. posted pics of his rigs. One with the OEM 03-05 spoiler and one with 06+ spoiler.

In that thread I was referred to trademotion.com, aka Conicelli Parts Center.

I have yet to find anyone that purchased the OEM hump style that has pics posted on the site. I know there are a few on here though.

This spoiler doesn't look that bad, I just think the OEM humped spoiler would look better. The search continues......

Hey :) Yea, I sell the one without the hump, but I could possibly have the hump one made, but I'd need a pretty big order to have this done. It would be much less than the OEM one for sure. How many people are interested in the HUMP one?
 
I wish I DIDN'T have the hump. I took it off all together but it looked weird with the recessed spot where no third brake light is and the big holes and such from where the spoiler was. I want to get one without the hump or trade someone.

Ok, I've been working the numbers and can do this, but would need 20 CONFIRMED ORDERS. Price would be $399 PAINTED and SHIPPED to your door. This is a deal and it's HUGE.

So, help me find 20 people :) Or if someone one wants to make a new post about this, feel free, then I'll chime in. But we need 20 people to make this a go.
