Gotta Love It!!!

last night i pulled up to my favorite intersection. there are two lanes that merge into one lane about 150 yards after the stop light so people are generally willing to punch it when the light turns green.

when i pulled up i was excited to find a young kid in a mustang, loud exhaust, even louder music. the light turned green and we both punched it. i fully expected him to blow me away, but the sucker made the mistake of squeeling his tires. that half second slip was all i needed to get to the merge point before he did. man was this guy pissed!!!

a couple of miles later the road opens back up to two lanes and the kid goes screaming by me, trying to save some face i suppose. i just had a big ass grin on my face, lovin' every minute of it.

The same thing happened to me the other day. The only problem was a new Avalon did it to me. At least it was another Toyota.

Well, coming from someone who just traded in a Mustang GT for my current 4runner, thats funny. I never drag raced in the streets, but wouldn't hesitate to be the first off the line. Even with my V6 SR5, I love pulling up to Civics with fart can mufflers and huge wings and redlining it. Was it a V6 or a GT?

I'd hate to admit this but my wife beat me while she was driving the 4runner. I was in an 06 Tundra and smoldered up the tires going nowhere while she was pulling 2 car lengths ahead.

i love doing that to BMW's for some reason...don't know why, especially the lower end X5's...i hate X5's

me too!!!!! We can beat a 3.0i without any effort! :D

I did the same thing at a light but I was a guy with a jacked up chev. pickup with 4 buddies in it with him. I even let him get the jump and then blasted past as we raced to the double to single lane merge area.

Smoked him !! naturally he had to ride my ass for the next two mile's and then while I was doing the speed limit he did the old fly-by .

honestly i have no idea. it looked pretty good with the rear fin, spoiler's, and hood scoop. it sounded pretty loud, and didn't appear to have much of a problem squeeling the tires.
