Gotta love the V8 !!!

So being in the pi$$ed of mood I'm in today , I'm driving home from my parents home. I'm on a 2 lane hwy. and it 55mph. There is a knob in front of me so busy playing on his wireless bluetooth headset that he's doing 35 mph and I'm getting IMPATIENT! (he's driving an H3)

I finally get a chance to pass because I was ridin his backside a bit. I pass and get next to him and I hear that poor little 5 cyl. engine screaming at me and not letting me get past him.

Needless to say ....... at that point I gave her hell and the look on this guys face when I took off like that was priceless !! He was givin it all he could and I just smoked him like he was standing still.

(Not knocking the H3 because I do like them)

^LOL^ Good story, liked reading it. I just for the first time today opened mine up, now that I've just over a thousand miles. I mean I let `er rip and man did it take off!!

Luv that V8!!!!! :)
 
Reminds me of a recent encounter with a Chevy 1500 Truck. Merging traffic, kept him behind me, but then he floored it and barley missed my bumper and then I floored it, lol, but it was too late, but I was catching up, ever so graciously,lol. Turns out it was S/C, which I was REALLY surprised considering I was almost with him, but I've only got the V6, wish I got the V8. Meh, anyways, I still love the V6, but love the V8 even more.
 
It is awsome to see the face of ppl in their cars when i pull by them with my quad on my trailer.
 
I flew by a guy who was going 60 up a hill in Iowa when I was out there with my v6. I was surprised at how much power it could make when pushed (yes, I baby my baby). The v8 must be awesome, all I have is the clunk, no vibs or squeaky seats... v8 here we come!
 
My wife had a similar situation, behind someone doing 45 in a 55. She went to pass and the jerk sped up, so she floored it and passed them. Unfortunately a cop saw her do it, first ticket in 12 years.

I don't wanna thread hijack, but it is about V8 power right???

It's basically the most rediculous truck I've ever driven. I'm actually afraid to floor it from a dead stop, seriously...

It's weird though, its so quiet and higher than the 4Runner so it feels like you're not going as fast as you actually are. So I'll get on it on an on ramp or something, and I'll be like this isn't much faster than the 4Runner, then I'll look down at the speedo and I'll be going legitamitely 20 mph faster than I thought. The 6 speed is amazing as well....

My sister has a Hummer H3 and we sometimes switch rigs I have a 06 V6 runner and she always says to me when she gets back "I can't drive this thing im going to get a ticket" there is a huge difference in power between her inline 5 and my V6. The weight is another big factor her H3 is aprox 400lbs more "I think".

I must say though her H3 is not bad to drive ......... the ride is a little more harsh the power sucks and you feal like there should be a Brownning 50. cal. sticking out of the moon roof "you know guys ....... just to move trafic!" but other then that it's not a bad ride. :)
 
Put the shifter into '4' and the 4Runner will really fly! I have been driving a 4Runner for over 2 years and just realized that! :D
 
I initially was looking at H3x's, my wife liked them, until I drove it, it is a dog, no power and gas milage is low. After that decided on a 4 runner, my first choice, drove it and loved the V6, I need the gas milage. The V6 has much more power than the H3's 3700. Unfortunately, just this week I drove a Porsche Cayenne, their V6 is awesome also. Don't know what to buy.:confused:
 
After driving my parents rx300 when i test drove the t4r it was awsome. the power it has to merge onto the highway was awsome. I flew back and forth by the dealership over and over again. the grin on my face said it all......hahaha
 
I'm just a v8 nut , I like power and getting the milage I get .... I'm thrilled with it.

I bet that 5.7 is just kick ass. I'm still skeptical how it will go over with the big iron. Also its kinda coming out at the wrong time with gas prices jumping very fast and predicted record highs. That never means good sales for full size vehicles or V8's.
 
In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, "POWEERRR!"

I sometimes share the rotten egg exhuast smell with vehicles behind me, especially convertibles with the top down...LOL...yeah it's cruel.
