Grand Theft Auto V thread

This game is pretty freakin' amazing so far. Just curious, why is it so hard to fly aircraft at first? Do you need to go to flight school to increase skill level, or do the controls just suck? I could fly pretty well in the other games, but this one has been challenging.

Also, has anyone found the best way to make money?

Did you try flying with Trevor? I even had a hard time with him on his mission.... could be me, flying has never been my forte.

Yes you need to go to flight school, on the other characters specifically later on, for missions.

Ive been playing the stock market so far and done pretty well. Not enough to buy my own business yet, that's my first priority.
 
GTA V was well worth the wait. I had the Hilux, but it disappeared out of my driveway during a mission. You can find them in the Sandy Shores area of Blaine County.

I still have yet to traverse the whole map. There's so much to see and do it will take me forever to see it all.
 
Yeah I've got a few of them lol. Wheeling the shit out of each, too

Pretty sure this is the first of any Toyota trucks ever making it to GTA so the truck is definitely a win for us Toyota fans
 
Seems like GTA 5 doesn't have as much blood as the previous games. You can sit there and keep stomping on people and there's no blood...what's I with that?

Other than that.......this game is awesome!:gun6:
 
I've been playing this for a few days now on PS3, very fun for sure. I already like it a lot more than 4.

Here is a question maybe someone can help me with. When I'm driving from the police, or in a race, I change the camera to cinematic accidentally. I know you can press circle to do this, and I'm pretty sure I'm not hitting circle. It's like it's happening by way of clicking R3 or L3 maybe? Anyone else run into this?
 
I don't have this game yet, but got this info from another forum I frequent for you guys.. If you don't already know about it...


Go to the internet on your phone and click on the money and financial services and click on the lcn I think or bawlsaq I think not sure how they are spelt.

When you end up doing assassinations for Lexter or Lester (cant remember) be sure to invest in the stock he is talking about as it will sky rocket after the job is done. I invested in one stock with about 500000 and after the job was done and a few days passed I had doubled my cash.

Look it up on YouTube it will give you the mission names and the stocks to put money into before the mission.

Also on YouTube there are videos that show you where to scuba dive onto a old submarine where you get 25k and you can switch back and forth different characters and get a but load of cash. I did it for about 5 mins and got 500k.

Playing the stocks is how Ive got most of my cash so far. Its pretty cool. I need to find that sub though.....
 
I finally did the mission to unlock Trevor, but I can't switch back to Michael or Franklin yet. When do we get paid for the Jewelry heist?

The only disappointing thing about this game so far, is the flying controls for me. I'm a pretty decent pilot in other games like BF3 and older GTA games, but they made it pretty tough in GTA 5. I like using the right stick to control pitch, but they basically made all controls on the left stick, which makes it very hard to maneuver IMO. Most people could probably care less, but since I love to fly aircraft in all video games, I'm at a serious disadvantage. Such is life...

Also gonna look at the stock market here soon. I missed out after the Life Invader mission, but I'm gonna invest like mad for the assassination missions mentioned above.

Franklin and Michael lay low for a while after the heist. It will notify you when you can use them again
