Gray cladding? Trying to find replacement panels

I forget off the top of my head where I saw them, I belive one of the genuine toyota parts websites sells them.

Just make sure you are ordering the right panels, they come from the factory unpainted and the regular gray plastic has small squarish protrusions at the edges. Shouldn't be an issue since you have the '03 and they didn't really make the colormatching a big deal, but soemthing to keep an eye for.

I have the grey ones too. Debating having them painted a Matte black soon and then buying some of those TRD Rock Warrior 17'' rims. I think this is my plan.....

From what i understand, the process of having those painted can be expensive, at least to have it done right. They have to be sprayed with some bonding chemical so the paint will actually bond to the plastic. This way if they ever get bumped the paint won't crack and start flaking off. I had thought about having mine wrapped with matte black vinyl, but never got any prices on it.

If you are thinking about replacing or painting the panels just because they are fading, try using a heat gun first. I have an 04 so I haven't tried this on my 4Runner, but whei bought my Jeep the fenders were white and chalky.

Hitting them with a heat gun brought the color back right away, it is amazing and they look brand new. It also takes out minor scratches.

Make sure you get a heat gun, not a hair dryer. They are only like $20 from walmart in the paint section.

Good luck

Thanks. I am just wanting to replace two panels that have big scratches going across them. Luckily all the other panels are in great shape.
