Grease streak on front windows

Anbody else experience a vertical greasy streak on the front-side windows on the inside? Any suggestions on remedies?

Haven't noticed one....I presume you've cleaned it with a window cleaner like Windex (but be very careful not to get an ammonia-based window cleaner on the plastic!!) ?

Once I got everything clean, then I use a microfiber cloth to keep it clean. Personally, I use this: http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?&SKU=90247 because it makes it easy to get in all teh nooks and crannies.

If you don't have a microfiber cloth, then some soft, crumpled newspaper also keeps the glass clean.

Cleaning it is not the problem. It happens every time I roll the window up and down. I can clean it but the next time I roll the window down, there it is. Obviously something within the door itself is causing this. The streak is on the forward half of the windows.

Got it. Then I would try to get the dealer to look at it under warranty....having grease get on the windows is not normal, so I would argue that it's a defect. I'd worry that the window is rubbing against something that it's not supposed to, and that you'd have other problems show up later.

keep us posted on what you hear, now that you mentioned it I do have a streak on the passengers side that looks like it's from rolling the window down, I thought it was just from dirt on the rubber molding, but maybe not.

I get this on all the windows if I don't lower it all the way. My guess is that whatever rubber protectant is on the seal is making the mark.
