Greasing UCA's

How often are people needing to grease their UCA?

Got mine put on last year. Maybe less than 3 months later and not even 1k miles it was squeaking. Greased it and good to go.

Now fast today only 700 miles since greasing them it was squeaking at me again.

I loosen the UCA bolt. Grease it until it spills out. Wipe it up and tighten. 85ft/lbs.

Wrong grease maybe? I put maybe 2 - 3k a year on my 4R I figure it would be good for at least 6 months or every oil change.

What brand of UCA's are you running??

Maybe they were greased wrong from the start. The OD of the bush and the ID of the eye is not to be greased. If the bushings are rotating there instead of in the middle where the sleeve is, that would cause extra noise.

I have Total Chaos UCA's that were properly greased when installed and I haven't touched them in a very very long time.

Install was done by DH when he came down from Vegas. He was very reputable before he moved so I'll side that it was installed correctly.

Doesn't look like its rotating on the outside of the bushing. Greased it and its good to go again. Just hoping I'm using the right grease.

what grease are you using? I use O'Reilly autofarts lithium grease. AutoZone didn't carry Li at all
I run the same grease in my delta joints

Most auto grease is Li-based, is it not?
