Hi Everyone, New guy here. Im an ASE certified tech but virtually all my experience is in Honda/Acura and Ford. Agreed to rebuild a 22r from a 1984 for a friend in exchange for having my roof redone. Had a few concerns and a quick search of that series of tubes we call the internet led me this place, where my questions were answered quickly and courteously. As most of the work I do is performance or customization oriented, I spend a good deal of time searching through forums. Out of all the forums for all makes, this one is easily in the top 3 I have found in terms of information available, posts that are written in an intelligible manner, and courteousness of members.
I've never taken the time to publicly "thank" a forum before, but you guys turned what could have been a frustrating 3-4 hours of searching into a 10 minute operation, leaving me plenty of time for a proper thanks:dancin:
So again, great forum, thanks for making it so welcoming to new members. I'd never done a 22r/e before, but I have a great appreciation for mechanical things that are put together "smartly" and even as a Honda guy, i must admit the 22r/e is a "smart" motor. I wish all my honda motors had a closed deck like the 22r. Looking forward to rebuilding a few more of these things in the future, and maybe ending up with one of my own as well!
