Great product...

I did a search and it does not appear to be something that has been talked about on the forum before...

I don't work for this company. It is simply a product that I will consider purchasing because it meets my needs entirely...I thought it might be useful information for others on here...

I eventually plan to get a hensley weight distribution setup. Hooking up a trailer in general can be a real pain in the butt without a camera, but as I understand it hooking up something like a hensley setup is even worse...

In any case, my runner does not have a rear backup camera (frickin canadian models don't offer it even as an option if you can believe it) and I don't really relish the idea of having to do any wiring into the vehicle at all to install any kind of after market setup...

Enter the "Swift Hitch" backup camera...This thing appears to be extremely high quality in terms of build, has a 300 foot wireless range, and the best part is that both the camera/transmitter and base LCD screen receiver are rechargable battery operated. No wires required...

This is great for someone like myself who is simply looking to use it soley for hooking up a trailer and nothing else...

Check it out for yourself

Pretty cool in my books...

Here is the manufacturer's website...

I guess it seems a little pricey for what it is but I suppose I wouldn't mind paying for it if it works well and has the build quality that seems to be indicated in the video link posted above...

Cheers

It's a camera, if it work it work nothing more. That thing is insanely expensive. I would recommend steering away from this product unless you have a lot of money to waste.

Nowadays a typical wireless system camera run roughly about $100 or less. All this thing have is just two more extra battery.

Can't argue that it is expensive but the build quality looks a lot better than some of these cheapo units...

In any case, like I said...for me I don't want to screw with wiring at all and would consider this as an option...

Having said this, if there is a cheaper unit out there that does the same I would probably go with it... :-)

Cheers

I have a cheapo bluetooth style. It's ok but more subject to interference than I would like. Thank-you FCC.

I like the SwiftHitch, wish it wasn't so expensive. I tow with lots of tow vehicles. The portable aspect, to me, would be a big plus. To anyone else I highly recommend a backup cam of some sort. I love mine.
