Green Ridge Trail closure

To: Anyone interested in riding at GRSF

The ORV trail will be closed April 24th until further notice here is more information.

I need to keep reading, but it looks like the main concern is ATV traffic tearing up the surroundings. The trails were initially created in the mid 70's for Jeeps (before the 4runner came out, now they are owned by us). They may continue to keep the road accesible to recreational activities (hunting,fishing,camping) but close it to ATV's & Dirt bikes.

There was also talk about creating a state owned trail system on private land (mining, lumber, etc). West Virgina has a system of 250miles for ATV's that generates a ton of money for the state and some for the private land owner. Hopefully this could increase the number of trails in MD. Move some closer to Annapolis would be awesome! arty:
