Just wanted to introduce myself and say what a Great site this is.
During my search for a new vehicle this web site answered so many of my questions about the 4Runner.
(Boy did I use the search function.) I also just enjoyed browsing through the threads.
I purchased my 4Runner Thanksgiving week and picked it up the Saturday after T-Day. My dealer made the whole process VERY enjoyable.
Paying under invoice then getting Toyota cash back on top of it made the deal too good to refuse. Their no pressure way of doing things plus the Extended Test Drive were added bonuses. The trip back to the dealership in POURING Down Rain to return it after the ETD sealed the deal for me.
Since purchase I took it on a road trip to visit friends in Maryland.
It was amazing how short the 2.5 hour trip seemed probably because I was having so much fun.
The 18.6 mpg (calculated) was a pleasant surprise given the brand new engine.
BTW, the MPG display in my 4Runner reads about 2 mpg higher than the calculated mpg which from other threads I have read seems normal.
