I am the original owner of a 97 black SR5 5 speed with 150000 miles.

She has been stored unused for the past 3 years and now needs new brakes and suspension and there are undercarriage rust issues.

My mechanic, who hates to hurt himself, has advised that I sell her to someone who really likes to fix old 4Runners.

I am trying to decide what to do.

I welcome input.

I'd keep that 4Runner. Is it 4x4 and does it has the rear diff locker? Those with the locker, 4wd and 5spd are usually harder to find and are really sought after. Plus, you are the original owner, so no need to worry if it was abused or neglected before.
