Grill Removal

I should be getting a new grill in the mail tomorrow and was wondering how to remove the old one. I think there are just 8-10 clips that hold it in place, but I could be wrong. To remove them you just reach inside the clip and push up on the tab, right?.

Thanks!

yes, but its better with 4 hands... that means 2 people, one to pull the grill off as you unclip it and the other to unclip the clips,

if you dont have another person the clips like to snap back together and you have to restart... what a pain!

Alright. I'm going to probably try it by myself tomorrow. If that doesn't work I guess I'll have to wait to install it.

Thanks for the info.

I just got a billet one off Ebay. I don't want to shell out the money for a JAOS one. I think Fo_Sheezy had one similar to the one I'm getting on his '98.

I hope it will look alright.

It is a real pain in the ass to do by yourself. You will see a little tab on the top and bottom of each mounting point. You need to basically push in both tabs, at the same time pull the grill out. You will need to do this for each of the 6 (i think 6) mounting points. So somebody will have to be pulling the whole time or the clips will snap back into place. You can use a long skinny screwdriver or something similar to reach the tabs.
