grille gaurd/brush gaurd

hey everyone I have a 94. My local pick a part has a 3rd gen(97 I think) with a front brush guard on it. will that guard fit on my 2nd gen?

Don't think so but not 100% sure. I know the first and second gens are basically the same (duh), but don't think the 3rd will work. But again I'm not 100% sure that's correct
