Grinding and Vibration Noise After Lift

So I drove around my stock 4runner for about a month, installed my 3" toy tech lift drove around for a little over a week on the 31ish tires that came on it. After getting my 315/75r16 Falken Wildpeak At3s installed I have been getting this weird vibration AND grinding noise.
Now I'm going to try to explain this best I can because it happens randomly and I can get a video.
Both sounds seem to be in separate locations. The vibration noise seems to be coming from the rear and the best way to describe it is, you know when you pull up to a stop light and the car next to you has 2 12" subs in his civic...the rattle vibration. Lose you hear from the outside...that's the noise I'm hearing
Now the grinding noise is coming from the front and it's pretty subtle and I can feel it more than I can hear it and the best way I can describe it is, I know this happens on many vehicles but it has happened in all 4 of my 4runners more than anything else I've driven except my tow truck at work, but when you jump on the. Takes really hard and the pedal "skips" and makes a grind noise before the brakes grab...

The tires ARE NOT rubbing, and it happens when cruising between 30-45 mph, if anyone has any ideas I would be more than thankful.

try checking and see if the wheel weights are hitting anything in the front if they used sticky weights. For the rear maybe the wheels arnt balanced properly?

Wheel Bearing?

I'm getting this sound here from both front tires. I have no play or wiggle moving the raised tire from 12 to 6 o'clock, but a rubbing noise when being rotated either way. I have a howl at 3 mph on up to 70 mph when the steering wheel starts to shutter. It's pretty obvious when coming to a stop. When the windows up, it almost seems like air is rushing through under the hood but its definitely coming from the front tires with the windows down.

Sounds like your brakes are dragging, or something is in contact with your rotor. It looks like you don't have the ease of turn you should have, but hard to tell. Pull the wheel and turn the hub...you will probably be able to locate it super fast then.

Thanks. I'm going to try that today. After reading through all the wheel bearing threads, and not getting play @ 12 & 6, I was completely stumped. Wheels are on there tight but you're right... I'm getting resistance and it sounds like it around the hub area but not sure. Will post back.

I have noticed a new sound since the lift as well, similar to the air noise stated above. I figured it was because I cut my fenders back a little and tried to hammer back the pinch weld area to clear my tires and when doing so I tore up the plastic cap on the body that the sunroof drain goes to and I figured there was air howling through that.
I don't have resistance and the air noise only comes from the passenger front side.

So many little issues and so little time!

Alright.. Took her to a local shop yesterday. Guys put it on a lift, rotated the (rear) tires this time, and found the noise was coming from the rear. I've lost quite a bit of hearing after years at the rifle range :crazy: Could have sworn it was coming from the front, however they went ahead and removed the drive shaft.. I'm standing there while all this is happening.

They spun the member housing and low-and-behold.. that same sound. Early diagnosis was that a bearing was going bad... just not sure which one or how serious. They're supposed to get back with me here soon. I've already been reading up on how to do the swap myself. They let me know the front tires rotated as they should. Skeptical of this but taking their word for the time being.

Imryann... Any clue as to what your noise is yet? Not sure if it's something similar or not..

Still haven't figured out what the noise is, been busy with work.
Thought it was my light bar bracket rattling, 2 of 4 mounting bolts were loose, tightened them and the noise is still there. Had a buddy at work take a look and he told me to remove the rear sway bar and see if it goes away. Haven't been able to do that yet. But once I do I'll post any results
