grocery bag hooks

I was looking something up in the manual today and discovered a section on "grocery bag hooks". Apparently, they're supposed to insert into the same slots that hold the double decker shelf in the up position. Does anyone actually have these? My 4R sat on the dealer's lot for 4 months so I don't know if mine were borrowed or the Limiteds shipped without b/c of the DD.

Partznet doesn't turn up a hit when searched and a forum search only found one post mentioning them.

Thanks.

grocery hooks? LOL!

I guess we know who the 4runner was marketed for now.;):

I wish I hadn't lost my manual.... I wanna see that....

The Limited doesn't have the hooks, because of the double-decker cargo shelf.

The hooks should be there, on the wheel wells, on units that don't have the DD cargo shelf.

No the manual is mistaken, those are not grocery bag hooks, those are tool bag hangers, yeah thats it... tool bag hangers.

:biggrin2:

Well, I am having some problem with the cargo for my 06 SR5. Sometimes when a box of coca is left on the back, it flips up and rolls all the time when turns are made, some not even sharp. I guess the mat is just a little to slippery. So, is anyone using any good cargo holder or box?

I love my 4runner for all of the "manly" qualities it provides. I take it up to the mountains and we'll do a lot of camping this summer. At the same time, I'm also a Dad who has make frequent trips to the grocery store. I'm not too proud to admit that I use the hooks for groceries.

Just be glad the 4runner doesn't have that in-dash flower holder like the new VW bug. So Gay

I got a CargoLogic mat that uses blocks that essentially velcro themselves to the mat. Put in the load, then stick the blocks to the mat to hold it. Works great for my Diet Coke.
I put a pic in this thread: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3272
