Just a quick note. I just bought my wife an '06 4Runner from Grossinger Toyota - Chicago (http://www.grossingercitytoyota.com/). I live in St. Louis. Our salesman was Mike Gargano. He was very good to work with. The price was good; right off the bat. Pat Kennedy handled the finance. I was expecting more...trouble. However, everything went well. No BS. They sent the paperwork to me, I had time to read over it, signed it, flew to Chicago, was at the dealer for less than an hour. It took longer to back my credit card deposit out, than the rest of the transaction. Very pleasant experience. Grossinger is an 80 year old dealership, in some great old buildings in downtown Chicago.
I grew up with several wholesale used car dealers, and have always been leery of new cars and new car dealers. Every other car I have purchased has been at wholesale prices. I was happy with the price I got - not the best deal, but a good, fair price - even when compared to what I could get a used 4Runner at auction for. I would recommend them to anyone.
