Group Buy on 4th Gen Bumpers

Perkins Performance has offered us guys at toyota120.com a group buy that we would like to share with the members of t4r.org.

Hey guys, we've decided to offer some group buy pricing for our bumpers! We are only able to do this with a minimum of 5 orders. The '03-'05 models will have provisions for the OEM turn signals and fog lights. The '06-'09 models will accommodate most aftermarket 4" fog lights. Due to the design of the factory fog light, it really isn't feasible to make mounts for the stockers. Bumpers will come with black powdercoat (colors optional for $40). We will guarantee delivery of 4-6 weeks from the last day of the group buy which will be Friday, November 26th. Again, there has to be a minimum of 5 orders for us to honor the this pricing. If we get 10 orders, we'll knock off another 5% of the cost!

great looking bumper!, if i hit the lottery id buy it in a second! but in this economy, i think it may be hard for someone to justify the cash for a steel bumper unless they really, really need it. even if they upgraded the suspension already, on top of the lower price of 840, i imagine the cost of - s & h, fog lights, painting it body color, & having it installed will still make the cost too high for the average person. just my 2c.

You should definitely contact them and see if they'll fab one up as a "dummy" I'm sure they'll do it for CHEAP if you're the first 5th gen to come their way.

Only issue is you'd probably have to surrender it for a couple weeks

A 5th gen bumper is already on his radar. Not sure of how close he is on final production though. His design concept will be a direct replacement of the entire front bumper (no cutting existing plastic).

There is at least one 5th Gen I know that goes down to his shop from time to time. Hopefully someone in the PNW will be able to donate their truck for test fitting.

he only charges 40 to paint it any color... if that helps haha

Jason is a cool guy he was even willing to make this bumper in Aluminum if I needed but the cost was too high for the raw materials.

Look like Darkie has first hand info, it's already in the plans Mikey.

Powder coating comes in many colors, the group buy includes black not the white used in the pics, but Jason post in his offer $40 extra for colors.

The bumper can install any 8k or 9k winch with an externally mounted solenoid will fit. Warn, Ramsey, Smittybilt, Milemarker.

Not to semi-hijack your thread, but I really liked the cargo rack he made for the 4th Gen (projects page). What's the best way to get a hold of him? I sent an email a few days ago.

I was also going to ask about a possible bolt on push-bar (functional).

Or skid plates?

I really like the bumper, but just can't justify the cost.
