Group Buy - Strona Bull Bar for Gen4 (T&H Low Bull Bar)

intrigued was the eBay seller that originally offered it and I believe is where X6Runner got his from.

Maybe what we should do is have a list of members who actually want the bar so we can get them to order it in, sans group buy discount. The $139.99 on eBay plus $15 shipping was a deal, IMO. My guess is the seller doesn't order the bars in because they don't want dead inventory that will take a long time to sell/clear.

Did you call the seller and ask if had an order from strona? When I called them they told me that they had 50 bars on order. I dont' know what the deal is. He also mention that someone on this forum talked to the owner and will have these bar reserved for t4r and not list them on ebay. it seems like. are you going to follow up with this group buy instead?

If you like, I could try and follow up with the seller. But usually it's pretty busy for me at work and I don't get much of a chance to get online or get on the phone. I'm in CA, so there's also the time zone difference.

Uneek, I did not contact the owner of this place. Sounds interesting if he really does have 50 sets on order. That would make sense since it should fill the entire container. Lead time should be around 30 days ~ 35 days max importing them form China.

Whoever contacted the owner of this place might also check if the seller can order the hitch step from Strona. They are just like the ones from Go Rhino. Anyone interested?

I will also do a bit of digging around again to find out if there is actually 50 sets on order. I have been really busy since I called off the GP. Glad someone else is doing this. The key is getting at least 20 sets + so we have better buying power. Strona will ship as long as it's 20 sets. If we can also get the hitch step, I guess the seller would be even more enticed to import them form Strona.

If the seller is unwilling to order the product from Strona, we can consider offering some kind of deposit using our credit card if they are OK with it.

Anyway, I want the bull bar !!!!!!!!!Hope we can get enough people this time.

OK. I just checked. The actual lead time of the product is 30 to 35 days (production) and another 20 days or so if ship by vessel. If the seller is bringing these in by air, then we can have these in 40 days.

I will know soon if 50 sets are actually on order. If not, I will try to find a place to order these if we can get 20+ q'ty.

I just ordered a rear hitch step off eBay. It's a 38" one. I wanted a Go-Rhino, but they are bit more expensive and it's to keep the clumsy people off my bumper. Otherwise, I'd definately get it through these guys.

I hope we can get a good number of members who want the Strona bull bar and the seller can get the order in. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes and I have no plans of putting another bar up front. Hopefully, some clown doesn't back into me before I get the Strona installed. :bash:

I called Car-Mic twice this week and keep getting jerked around. One time told they are on order and the next time call back in two months. Then they tell me none are on order until they get an order for 600 pieces. I got tired of waiting and bought T&H Eurotec from autoseattle. Wow are those guys nice and I will post some pics as soon as install is complete. Paying a little more is worth it to me to know my bar is on its way.

Do you guys think that if we contact Strona directly that they could direct us to maybe someone that does sell them? Or better yet see if we can do a direct buy from MFGR? I have been in contact with Strona directly. The thing is, if we want to get a GB going from any of the dealers, we need to get 20+ or more to make the deal attractive for the seller to import the bars. $300 for a T&H is just too much since they OEM from Strona or some other manufacturer. If we can get a seller to get these for us and sell at $130 to $150, it's a decent deal.

Strona can refer us to dealer but our problem is still getting enough people to make the buy. This is the main reason I had to call off the GB in the first place. Just not enough people.

No, the Eurotech does not have the cross bar. I actually like the original bull bar with the cross bar better, but it really limits your options for adding lights and the cross bar obscures the front license plate.

That's what I thought. I don't particularly care for the one's without it. I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that the Strona one's pan out.
