Thanks everyoen who posted tips and tricks to get this on. I got my bar today (Day Early) and took 20 min at lunch to get it on loose and 2-3 5 min breaks to tighten it all up.

I have 2 bolts to go and its done

I can't wait to get the matching step bars.

I hope i can sell my factory ones for $100-150 so i wont have to stick them in a closet some were.

Just ordered mine a few minutes ago, was on vacation last week. Total $135.93 to Westchester County, NY. Will have it Thursday, will install it this weekend. Thanks for all the perseverence to get this group-buy done, and for all the install tips.

FYI.... They stated they have like 8 Bars left.......

Anyone lowered the license plate after the bull bar is installed? I am trying to figure out a good way to do this.

I lowered the plate using a couple of bracket I had in the garage.

Lights are going to be tough ...but to me it need them...

Not much selection with only about 2 1/2 in height ...Help !! :awais:

I wonder where I could get those brackets?? I would only assume Home Depot or something. I live in NY and it might be a problem but I wasn't going to do anything until I am stopped. Thanks for taking a pic!

I am sure you could find something at the Depot or you local hardware store.

These came from one of the many coffee cans I have in the garage from projects that I keep the extra hardware from.

Called in today. Very friendly and helpful guy, Although he answered the phone saying "Intrigue" which kind of confused me a little, well it turns out "Intrigue" is the name of the online shop and Car-Mic the name of the Retail store, So if when you call, someone answers "Intrigue" you still have the right number! Total cost for mine $146.05. AWESOME DEAL, even saw this on ebay for $330.00. So guys this is amazing, thank you for everyone who worked to get this. Will post pics when its up!

Yup, every time I called in that's the what they answered with. That's the name of their eBay store front. Way back, Dean did mention that the bars are sold for more at the store than online. I guess the prices have caught up online to the store price. Thanks to the members here who got the group buy going and everyone who jumped in on it that we all got the bars for a good deal.

Super nice guys... if I made a negative statement about them in my previous post, I retract my previous statement(s). Got my tracking information from Steve and turns out they shipped it on the same day I ordered it. Should have it by Thursday, can't wait. Finally the front end will have protection as well. I paid $160 since I'm probably about as far as you can get from PA. He mentioned their are multiple orders coming to my zip code, maybe another 4R owner?

Scott, those brackets look like ones used for home lighting fixures to adapt the fixures to the round or retangular boxes used by electricians. If they are those brackets, I'd say try looking in the light fixure section of the hardware store first.

Question: Is the back of your plate a potential threat to your bumper? Will it scratch your bumper?

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check it out. I am unsure how much of a problem it will be here in NY as you can still read it but only at lower angles. You all know as you have the same bar.

No it will not scratch the bumper.
Take a look at the bracket it moves the plate out about an 1/8 to 1/4" and does not touch the bumper.

You could also place some rubber bumpers or feet on the bumper that will keep the plate off the bumper and nipples on the bumper. I got the rubber bumpers from Home Depot.

installation

anyone have detailed instructions on installation? if anyone could do a write up it would be greatly appreciated!

also, anyone have trouble with the nuts and bolts not fitting? the nuts do not seem to go past the bottom of the bolt. is that normal?
