Everyone's favorite jerk- [MENTION=6163]phillyd2[/MENTION] , AKA Dave, has once again offered up some generosity to the forum in the form of a good old American Cookout.

Here's the deal:

Dave and I got to talking. Not everyone likes to offroad. Not everyone likes to camp. But- Everyone likes a cookout, right?

Sounds like a great excuse to get T4R.ORG together again!


This will be a family friendly event. Kids are welcome.


Now, I know how these things work. You guys will ask a ton of questions. Getting answers out of Dave is like friggin' pulling teeth. He's super laid back.
I think if you pulled up in a tank on his front lawn he would be like "That's pretty cool, check out that tank on my lawn."


Point is, just show up, eat and hang out for this one. Great opportunity to put faces with usernames.

Unsure what's up for July at this point.:shrug: I usually take Lauren away for a week or two midsummer and let her decide where to go. I guess Dave's would be a great starting point eh?

Can't make it to PA in July...you guys will have a blast. Waiting anxiously for details on the cove meet though. I hope it works out to be the first weekend in October...I will be at a wedding in Charlottesville, VA the second weekend.
 
Now that winter is over it makes we wish I was closer to PA. Looks like a great way to have a gathering.
 
Sorry guys for the delay in replying. I think Jeff covered most of it. Hopefully we can pull this off as its our hope that those who don't off road or camp would be interested in hanging out and meeting each other. We have room for any coming from a distance to stay over Sat night and drive home on Sunday. Also have room if anybody wants to pitch a tent.

There is no agenda or schedule. Its pretty much what we make of it. We already had a giraffe walking the yard so kids, dogs or even tanks would be fine.
 
well damn - we won't be able to make it as my daughter turns 10 on July 28, and her party will be on the 27th. For some reason I don't think her ideal party will be with dad's online 4Runner friends :cry2:
 
I think we'd be down with that, but I'm a bit concerned about that part of the state. Do you have any of that Amish Mafia up there? Any problems with drive-by barn raisings? Do I have to have to shave the mustache part of my facial hair so I have one of those funky sub-labial only beards (it's like the Amish version of a mullet). There isn't a comparable version of Amish manscaping is there? Else Ducmonsta will need to get some garden sheers and give me a hand getting all-groomed-up.
 
LOL I think you are in need of some basic PA 101. No worries, I can't think of many places safer than here and we have a very firm policy of never shooting anybody by accident. :cheers:
