Nice pics. Great sunset shots too. The one with the person (you?) holding the surfboard next to the 4Runner right as the sun sets is great. If you would've used a flash it would've nicely illuminated the person and the 4Runner, while keeping the color of the sunset, unless dark was what you were going for...
I too, share a love of amateur photography. I started using a Canon 35mm SLR. Now I have a snapshot digital, saving for a Digital SLR.
Keep up the photography. I have a friend who went to school where you do for wine horticulture. Talk about a sweet degree!!

Yes that is me, and I am not a big fan of flash on the camera, but I know what you mean. Also, to make another excuse, I was using my friends camera an SD300, as my Canon G2 is out of service, and I <3 my G2 with a passion with its functions and power. But thanks for your kind words.

I think everyone I know is jealous. It hasnt rained since the new year. And I was talking with my mom, and back home in sacramento its been raining alot. We're finally expecting to see rain this saturday, so that would make our usualy tackle football game a little more fun. And yes it is romantic. My friends give me a hard time because I've taken over a hundred pictures of my 4Runner already (its been less than a month) but hey, I love my 4Runner and I love Photography.
