My tach is unstable at times, it will jerk around and I dont think its always reading correctly, also there is a scratching kind of noise coming from behind my guages, it also kind of sounds like wind noise but its not. I was thinking that this was due to the speedo cable needing to be repaired but maybe its the guage cluster itself? or it could be the speedo cable and the tach is a seperate problem.
What would cause my tachometer to act like that?
