I just got a TE as well. Any aftermarket upgrades, keep us updated. I am looking for ideas. First one. The tailgate is so stiff I have already dinged the paint closing it with my wedding ring. I know they make a film to protect the fenders, can I get some for the bottom of the tailgate?

I just love the fact that he has two of the greatest 4R's ever, then he skips a generation and gets the more probably reincarnation of the 3rd gen.

Don't know if you noticed or not, but there are 2 handles on the bottom side of the liftgate that you can use to close it. That way you're not having to push against the outer (painted) surface. Comes in handy especially when the lift gate is filthy with road grime.
