Hey guys, another member (ar1five) and I are planning a trip to hit some trails in the George Washington National Forest (GWNF) on 11/3/12 and we would like to get a group of guys to go. The trails, Peters Mill Run and Taskers Gap, are located in Edinburg, VA (about 1.5 hours west of DC) so it would be a perfect day trip for anyone in the DC area.
I have run Peters Mill and it is pretty easy and can probably be done with most stock rigs so all are welcome.
Let me know if you are interested and depending on how many people we get, we can make it just a day trip or overnight camping trip.
Here are all the details that you should need:
WHERE
We are going to meet at the Shell Station (Bo's Xpress) in Edinburg because it is close to the trails and they sell the required permit. The address is: 60 Stoney Creek Road, Edinburg, VA 22824.
WHEN
Lets plan on meeting at 11:00 AM and try to hit the trails by no later than noon. That way if anyone is caught in traffic or running late they won't be left behind.
WHO
I would like to try to get a final count by the end of this weekend so we know who to expect and don't leave anyone behind. Please let me know if you're coming and I will add your name to the list. Here is the list of people who are confirmed:

PERMIT
There is a required permit to use the trails. If I remember correctly I think it costs $10 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) and is good for the day. The permits are sold at the gas station that we will be meeting at so you don't need to worry about it in advance.
