If H.I.D. headlights were available on the 4Runner would you get them?
alpha said:Yes I would get them. I want to do a retrofit, yet no money..
I dunno, more sales to Lexus??
Mark86 said:I would get HID's in a heartbeat if they were offered on the 4Runner. They definitely light up the road better than the standard halogen bulbs. On the other hand, the 4Runner has the best halogen lights out of all the vehicles I have driven. They light up the road rather well (not as good as HID's) for halogen lights.
What can the people who spend $70k on an LX470 say? They don't get HID's either.

Loaded, with all options and this vehicle will have old fashioned head lights and sticker for at least $44,000 I dont feel too good about that. I like the 4Runner, I just feel foolish that I am purchasing a vehicle with such old fashioned lighting technology.

TRD04RUNNER said:hahah you want to talk about fool! when I brought my 1997 M3 back in July of 97 I pay $42,500 not only did the thing not have HID , it did not even have a button or trigger to open the trunk! you would have to use the key or press the button from the outside to open it!. It did not even have power seat or tilt steering! I mean WTF a 40+k car without power seat? LOL
The only thing that sold me on the M3 back then was the power and torque it had . I mean ever time when the rpm shot up to red line it felt like I had a turbo under the hood! and the way that baby handle and corner like it was on rail just make you feel in luv with it right then!!! best stock ride ever straight out of the box! "you have never drove the ultimate machine till you drive an ///M"
Sorry, I just thought that people that bought this vehicle were smart , very well educated, and appreciated new technology. I will have this vehicle soon enough, lighten up.Bobby said:07Runner,
You seem to put down the 4runner and Toyota every time you post, complaining about every little thing you can to bitch and moan about yet you don't even own one.
The 4runner headlight housing is very good stock. It was one of the main things I noticed when I got it and I'm coming from a '98 M3 with euro headlight housings. E36 US headlights are incredibly bad which is why I switched.
Why don't you just get the 4runner and live with it a bit before you start complaining about things. Or better yet, get a QX56 with HIDs.

wow, if you call 4runner owners not smart, or very well educated, and you plan on buying one, then you join the crowd. A little hypocritical, don't ya think?07runner said:Sorry, I just thought that people that bought this vehicle were smart , very well educated, and appreciated new technology. But that's already been done. So all he'd have to do is follow someone else.. Oh and not very hard either..CuzzinOlaf said:And you will join the ranks of us uneducated, dumb and non HID 4Runner owners? If you're so smart or whatever you want to call it just buy a set of aftermarket HIDs and install them on the 06 model with projectors. Is it definite the 2007 model with have HIDs?
