This article is very spot on. When the acceleration fiasco started, I DID have a doubt. With all those MILLIONS of lines of code, perhaps something could have gone awry. However, after the "NASA" study discarded it, I figured, ok, peddle misapplication!! So then, the floor mat and shaving of the gas peddle was complete BS. (shaving the peddle and having modded...shorter?....mats apparently REDUCES the chances of them getting stuck together.........also nonsense........how do you explain MILLIONS of Toyota drivers driving everyday without any problems?). Its a shame and amazing that a handful of stupid drivers can plunge a giant like Toyota. Toyota could have handled it better, but whatever................

In other Toyota news, they have said that being #1 means nothing. This is good, I think. Perhaps the ridiculous cost cutting will be reduced? I'm sure Hyundai and Ford has them nervous. We'll see I guess..

Glad to hear also that Toyota's refocusing their goals, they built a loyal following based on quality and reliability. No need to push them out for numbers sakes, let us customers who appreciate their products continue to buy their vehicles just cause we know how good they are.
