Howsit going everyone, I just bought a 88' 4runner that the owner said was cherry but turns out that having 299,948 miles on her means that that there will be secrets. This turns out to also be my first truck, truly a great truck at that as well. Engine was rebuilt and has 90,000 miles on it currently. It's a 3.0L V6 with efi and all the works i suppose you could say. My current problems are:
1.) Truck boggles when in gear (reverse or Drive) but is steadier when in park or neutral....again my first truck and actually the first vehicle i have owned with a computer...my old car was a 68'
2.) The engine wont turn over, battery wont make a clicking sound but battery has enough volts to turn over atleast but when i turn the key the voltmeter doesnt flinch....any suggestions....i was thinking a connection problem from steering column to battery or starter is fried... other than that nice being here and hoping to meet some really cool people. Hey my names Brandon too! I was born in Jamaica and lived there for 8 years before coming to Arizona.

If you turn the key and you aren't even getting a click, my thoughts would be not enough power, but you said it has enough, or the starter.

Only catch is that the starter turns too...so i know it is not that.
