HAHAHAHA My 4runner weighs 4411lbs

I just thought this was hillarious. I took out and off anything I possibly could cause I'm getting ready for the drag racing season and then went to a weigh station and my runner weighed in at 4576lbs with me in it. I weigh 165 so minus that and you have 4411lbs. Here's a list of what i took out:

spare tire
back seats
passenger seat
center console
door panels
rear hatch panel and metal guard
trailer hitch (i dont think the GVWR includes that)
all the skid plates
running boards
front bumper
rear bumper
oh and an 1/8 of a tank of gas

I should have taken a picture but I didnt think about it till I put everything back together. my runner looked rediculous though.

Im getting a supercharger this summer so i want to run the drag strip before i get to see how much of a difference it makes in 1/4 mile times. And even though my 4runner is n/a its not slow. Its faster than my dads 05 V8 4runner sport. I just got the thorley cat back system and and something else ill tell everyone about soon (its still not working right) and oh dear lord its so much quicker now And besides, how many 4runners have you ever seen on a drag strip?... I need to make a name for the 4runner as a fast suv. everyone already knows its amazing off-road, now its time for everyone to see its amazing on the track too.

You are going to make a name for 4Runner's as a slow SUV. The 3.4 is a great, reliable engine but it is anything but fast. I don't know what your mystery mod is that isn't working, but the catback system you installed might have gained you 2 horsepower ( in other words, not noticeable anyways). My mom has a v8 4Runner sport so I have driven both and I think your dad needs to have his checked out, because my mom's would walk all over my 4Runner. If you want to drag race your 4Runner thats completely up to you, but your 4Runner is far from fast.

and this is the same motor that was supposedly on its way out a month ago? You are not fooling anyone. We all know how slow the 4runner is. your truck is making possibly 120hp at the wheels. The V8 is making atleast 100hp more. How can you begin to think that your 4runner is faster than a vehicle that is making over 100 hp. more than you? even after the supercharger, you are at best going to be even with your dads V8. I would like to know what this revolutionary mod is? And please dont say that it is a gas leaf blower! You are going to get laughed off the track.

im guessing its the Fuelmaxx chip thats in your signature? cmon man if that gave you anything you might see 8-10 HP with the exhaust
 
4400lbs after you removed all that?

My truck in stock trim (save for the heavier Nittos) my truck weighed in at a little under 4100lbs with a 1/2 tank of gas and less the spare and I ran a high 18 up here at 5800ft which might be about a second quicker at sea level which is right on for a stock 3rd gen.
Bone stock 4th gen V8s have me by over 2 seconds up here and run mid 15s at sea level so a 3rd gen has to be making at least another 100whp just to match a 4th gen.

What a heavy pig. Years ago I weighed my stock 4th Gen V6 (not stripped down) and IIRC it was 4200 +change, can't remember if that was with or without the driver.

Just goes to show you this whole thread is a load of B.S. Thanks for the laugh today man.
 
Toyota lists curb weight @3900lbs for the auto SR5 4wd and this usually is a dry weight meaning just the weight of the vehicle no fluids included. The Limited 4wd is just under 4000lbs.
 
MMMM that's one heavy truck. I drove up on the scales at the Tesoro Refinery last fall and I was weighing in at 3800 +. That was with me in it and I'm 250! OH!!! But I do have Electric Fans in mine.. Does the stock fan weigh 400 lbs?
 
i'm not trying to flame ya man but you aren't a fast car if you have to take the seats out and the doors off to be fast it ain't really fast

side note: i used to hang out at the drag strip constantly and would get tickled when the flow master camaros would come and start dismantling their car to be a little quicker and an STI would pull up and smoke them with a a guy ridin shot gun,

So if YOU have a different opinion, that's great. Let's be honest, the 4Runner can be fast. When I had my smaller diameter tires (the stock 225's) I could keep up with my friends' V8 Tundra and Ram up to about 50MPH where their torque would take over.

oh.......ok. The numbers dont lie man...what in the world makes you think that any stock 4runner is going to keep up with any V8 truck that has ATLEAST 100 extra HP, even if the truck is an additional 1000 lbs? Cmon man, who are you kidding?? My supercharged runner would have a hard time doing that. Besides, any V8 has torque DOWN LOW....not after 50mph. I am just giving you the FACTS, which is something you cannot argue against.
Anyone who posts such idiotic things on a public forum is asking for FLAMING. I have an open mind, but you are making yourselves look like idiots, i dont have have to help you out with that.
There are a few of us on here that can actually give FACTUAL information.

Scott i sold that 1gr motor like 3 weeks ago and i spent the the money on other modifications, including the doosey. and no its not the fuelmaxx. i forgot that thing was still on my signature. it is faster than my dads 05 V8. You're all crazy. Im gald i made such a buzz. This is hillarious. I dont know where you guys get that the 4runner weigh 3100lbs whats wrong with you. Its weighs in at 5100lbs. May the arguments be continued.
 
You live in Colorado snowrunner. go up to bandimere on wed. nights starting in april and look for the black 4runner. I find it funny how everyone here thinks im crazy but yet no one on this forum knows anything about me, who i am or what ive done.
