Hail damage - not good on the hood!

Had a 5 min hail storm yesterday here in Daytona. The ice was the size of cubes - a 1st for me. Lot's of the planes in the Embry Riddle fleet were damaged so I was not the only one. But it left about a dozen pot marks all over the hood. Not too worried about the roof. My deductable is $250 and the parts guy at the local dealer said $300 for an unpainted hood.

Could it be time to scoop? How would it affect resale if I don't fix it? Any less expencive places to get a hood? Not sure what to do? Any suggestions?

If the hails damage is not significant, you don't have to replace the hood unless you wanna joint the HOODSCOUP club. Contact your local dealer or other Toyota dealers in Orlando. They're able to get the dent doctor to get them off for you, with out replace or repaint the hood. I'd keep it original. In case you want a new hood, I can hook you up with 20% discount off the price list, but you have to pick it up in Orlando.

Most dent wizard guys usually charge by the panel. Its gotta be cheaper for a good dent guy to work out the dents. I wouldn't advise replacing the hood, It may affect your resale value & the paint may fade (Fla sun) over time. Dealers look for "tool marks" on body panel bolts to see if the car was in a body shop. Then the deductions start! From hail damage to "is the frame damaged"?
