I noticed a couple weeks ago that the dealership in north KC, MO had a lot of 5th Gens on the lot. Wouldn't you know it, we had some hail here a week or so ago and when I went in today for my 5K service, there were 3 x 5th gens in the service bay having hail dings taken out. Kind of sad to see a Salsa, a Black, and a Mag Grey all lined up in a row needing work. I'm sure there were plenty more that had either already been done or were waiting their turn.
I asked one of the contractors that was doing the work and he said that on average, each vehicle they'd worked on had about 10 dings, none larger than a quarter.
My guess is that if you need a 5th Gen in this area, you can get a good deal on a pre-dented model!
