halo/angel eye headlights?

Hey everyone. So, I saw all these pretty headlights with their halo/angel eye led circlets attached to them, and I got to thinking: Hey, I'll try that, why not?

I was thinking of either getting amber full-circle lights (I saw someone on this forum who had a pic of their 03 or 04 runner with amber lighting that matched the DRL/turn signal light color to a T, around the projector lens and it looked really great; can't for the life of me find that post again though, or I'd ask him/her)
Or
Finding some half, third, or quarter circle lights in any color (therefore white, since it's the easiest color to find) and orienting them either at the bottom or the [possibly lower corner] outer edges of the circles.

First: thoughts? Which one do you think would look better?

Second: where could I find either of these? It's just a thought process right now, so I'll take links to just the LED circles as well as full headlight encasings and whatever other leads you guys feel like providing, if any.

Very pretty generally, but no. I think. It was somebody with I think a dark gray color 4th gen (as in pre the 06 update; i remember the headlight shape) and the pic was a profile/diagonal shot of the frontend lights with the DRLs and possibly parking lights on, which showed the usual amber glow at the edges of the lights, and amber halos just around the projectors as well. If I recall, it may have been a kind of non-sequitur picture to the thread at hand, which makes it that much easier to find, right? ha.. :mmph:

Anyway I'll keep looking around, thanks for helping me thus far with the search :]

You can do a projector retrofit if you dont like any styles of aftermarket angel eye projector headlights. I did this but didnt put any angel eyes in. If you get some from The Retrofit Source the shrouds that come with them have slots for angel eyes and you can get angel eyes through them. Its a little cheaper to do it this way. Im saying this if you have a pre 06+. I did a retrofit and love it, if i could go back i would put angel eyes, i may eventually they are pretty sweet i must say. Good luck man

Heres a picture of mine (they come with chrome shroud, the piece around the projector, but i wanted it blacked out), where the little holes are around the projector lens is where the angel eyes would sit

Actually, yes. Something very like that. The amber eyes I was talking about are pretty much that color, but oddly look more like normal side lighting rather than a neon ring.

I was thinking amber because while I like the brightness on the average angel eye, I think as a DRL replacement it should be a little dimmer.

However, this is the idea that I'm going for for the not-full-circle halos. Awesome. I'd like it if they were half, or less than half, but an unconnected circle is pretty darn close.

So, the Orions fit T4Rs just fine? Or am I not seeing a 4runner-specific option..

Also, fun wiring query: what if I got the halos on DRL only and had the turn signals just stay with the corners? Doable? I'll look into it but if somebody knows, let me [us] know. :]
