Halo Projection Headlights - Work/Worth It?

Okay, so the only black projection headlights I can find that claim to work on a '06 4Runner are these Halo Angel Eye Headlights.

However, some sites say that these wont work on my year and others say that they will. Anyone know if they will actually work or know of another black headlight replacement for an '06 4R?

No, they will not work for the 2006. At least not without modifications to your front end. The bottom of the 2006 headlights differs from the 03-05 models. That is why you see the 03-05 owners changing their headlights to the 06-08 headlights.

I agree. They definitely don't have accurate information from what I'm seeing.

Looks like I have very few to no options for black replacement headlights for my '06 4R unless I can find something that will actually work for it.

You could always disassemble the headlights and paint.... Pain the butt but it is very possible. The projectors and reflectors on yours will come off of the "main" chrome body and you can paint that any color you want

Just an FYI, the light output is going to be horrible compared to your stockers. Most, if not all of them, use an H3 bulb if I remember correctly. If you have some tech-know-how, I'd take your housings apart, clear out the amber, paint them black, and call it a day. Or... if you need to get more bling, add some CCFL's (Halo Rings) while you're in there.
