Happy new owner

Hello everyone, I'm Patrick and happy to say I am a new owner of a 2005 4Runner SR-5. I've always wanted a silver 4Runner since my buddy bought his and things finally worked out for me this past weekend. I found a 2005 silver, V-6 powered, SR-5 at the local Toy dealer. Our salesman was not pushy and let us try a couple different ones. I purchased some Husky liners for it to protect the carpet. It will be fun to drive it on the beach. I really like the forum and look forward to talking to everyone more in the future.

I have driven my leased '05 SR5 4x4 V6 since it was new, and I think it is a great vehicle. 21,000 miles with no problems.

Is yours a V6 or V8? You'll be happy with either engine.

I got the V-6 with mine. I am happy with it. It seems to have plenty of power for a 6 and decent gas mileage.

I see that you live in VA. Just wait until you get your personal property tax bill. You should set aside about four hundred bucks. Our county sends bills out in mid-April, and I already figure it will eat up most of my federal tax refund.

Another new guy

Hello, just got a 05 w/114K miles. What recommendations do you all have for maintenance items to investigate 1st? I was thinking about changing all the diff oils throughout. I just got rid of my 08 Tacoma to get this one, and before that had a 02 4runner, and before that a 2000 tacoma, and before that a 87 4runner. Thanks for the input.
