Harbor Freight Motorcycle Carrier

I got this off a buddy for my 5th gen. New in box - built it but the clamps that are suppose to grab the side of the hitch don’t meet up because the center pin bolt is either too short (4Runner) or the gap on the carrier is too long (carrier)

Is anyone running the harbor freight motorcycle carrier on a 5th gen?

I find I have to redrill things from HF to make them line up correctly.

My dad lives up in your neck of the woods.

I have this carrier and mine didn’t line up properly either. I made it work and only carry a small dirt bike on mine. Probably used it half a dozen times last summer.

Chairman Xi thanks you for your patronage of sketchy af carrier of capitalist goods.

I wouldn't trust a screwdriver sold by those Chicom bastards, probably radioactive.

I haven't seen a carrier I would trust with my motorcycle on back just from the looks of things. Anyone know of a decent one?

I saw one once that had lights on it that plugged into the trailer harness. I can't remember the brand but I was considering one for a long distance trip out west when I had a CBR500r. It was rated for 500 pounds. Now I have a V-strom and honestly no way I would put it on a hitch carrier. These things are really intended for lighter bikes anyhow.

do yourself a favor, just get a small trailer. At that much weight, it will be torquing left to right bad on any bumps. I barely trust putting my 5 bike mountain bike rack back there.
