hard break during 'break in' phase

My wife first tried to drive our new T4R on highway:girl:. It's about 1000Km on it now, so still in 'break in' phase. She rides Manual all the time, this is her first time on Auto transmission. And I think she should be OK. But worthiest thing happened after her 30 minutes driving. To get car stopped at a rest area, she applied her LEFT foot on break paddle. For sure it is a very hard break cause she kick it as clutch!!! And twice..:sobbing:

Then we get burning smell.

Will this really hurt our TOY? Oh, my poor girl and TOY:ybrick:

I wouldn't worry about it. From what you described, it sounds like she did the same thing as slamming on the brakes if a deer crossed the road, for example.

Only real potential for damage would be brake rotors. They are cheap and easy enough to get resurfaced, and even thats not too likely to need to be done....
