Hard Curb Check

Hey Guys,

I have a question here that I'd like your opinions on...

If a runner hit a curb parallel with the side of the truck, hard enough to make it tip, do you think there is any chance of frame damage??

that's it!

thanks!

I'm curious to hear the story behind the question.

Yeah, understandable. Needless to say, its a long story. The short version:

Coming home dreary eyed from the 5th gig of an absurdly long weekend, I was ambushed by a raccoon. I made the mistake of trying to avoid him instead of making a raccoon pancake, and popped the curb. After popping the curb, I had to swerve to avoid a sign post, came back down off the curb off balance, and three skids later hit the curb parallel with my truck. It was all loaded up with gear, which I'm sure didn't help.

Feeling the curb impact and then a split second later the impact of my truck on its side is forever burned into my memory. crazy

Anyway, I drove it today and it really just felt to me like it needed a little alignment tweak. Everything else felt just like she did before the side-plant. I'm no mechanic but under close inspection, all components of the steering and suspension look perfect.

You flipped your 4Runner on its side, pushed it back upright, then drove it around -- and all it needs is an alignment "tweak"? Man, I love these trucks...

I have seen a curb involved 4runner flip. Are u really serious though?
Did it ruin the paint? Photos?

and today I wake up to see some jackhole dented the shiz out of my left rear bumper. No note or anything, of course. Can't see it from the back, so I'm hoping just that side section can be replaced, or even pounded out?

Just can't win sometimes!
