Hard Rock ORV Park?

This place is only about an hour and half from me and was wondering if anyone had ever been there? The youtube videos of the place make it seem pretty bad ass but is it worth 25 bucks to get in?

I'm in Tampa and I've really been wanting to go to Hard rock in Ocala or Citrus WMA. Either one isn't too far and a good excuse to get off-road. Hopefully it's starts getting a little cooler soon and I would be down to camp too.

I really like Citrus and Richloam but I've wanted to try going to Hardrock, just wasn't sure if it was worth $25.

There's talk of a ONF weekend wheeling/camping/canoeing trip on Florida Family 4x4 FB group page. They're aiming for Oct 10th Friday afternoon meetup in Alatoona with the possibly of hitting up Hardrock by Sunday.

I'd say hard rock is worth $25. Been a few times. Plus there are no rangers to hand out tickets for tearing up the trails. I'd say its the best legal wheeling in Florida.

Anybody that's been there think it's worth a 3 hour drive to check it out? I'd probably end up staying the weekend close, but don't want to do it if it isn't gonna be worth it.

You can camp at hard Rock and make it a two day thing.

Is it worth it? Depends, what's your off road experience? Where would say is your most hardcore offroad location?

I wish I could go to that. Flying out of town that day to Baltimore. I've been wanting to go up there. Everyone who's has been says it is worth 25 bucks.

I've been around and off roaded for a couple years now. Nothing "hardcore" around me. I've climbed embankments, crossed creeks, trail rode, no rock crawling or true mud bogging though.

Then hard rock would be fun for you I'd bet. I've never wheeled outside of Florida but I've been to most of the spots here. I've only wheeled two places that are more adventurous but they're not exactly "open to the public". They're also not much crazier. Mostly cause hard rock is legal. If want test your nerves then hard rock is fun. Its small but so are the other places. Its also safe in the sense of not trespassing and you don't have to go through any obstacle. You can skip anything uncomfortable. I'm not "hardcore" either and there's stuff there that rattles my nerves.
