I hardly check in here any more. Dont know if anyone wants to wheel any of the harder trails down here, But if any of you do hit me up. Im down to go.

i would even be down for the hard side of cleghorn or pilot rock X trail even though its not my favorite trail... I havent been to big bear in awhile, but theres not really much until the snow melts. We ran John bull in about a foot not too long ago and I have been good on snow runs since.

So if anyone is interested in Clawhammer, cougar buttes, Calico, mottino wash, whatever im pretty much down. Been wanting to make it out to stoddard wells and hit up pumpkin eater too. I have never wheeled in stoddard wells even though its close. I recently saw some pics form a jeep run out there and it looked worth checking out. Anyways Just putting it out there.

I'm down for a challenging trail too. Not anything balls to the wall crazy. But something worth leaving the house. I've also been interested in Pinyon MT RD in Anza Borrego. Does the weekend of March 24-25 work or the weekend before?

The weekend before works perfect. My only issue is anza is super far, has 2 hardish spots and there is so many other trails closer that are way better, I see your in encinitas. Idk how you feel about the big bear area? Want to hit up some trails out there?

Yeah nothing too crazy. We can stay out of the hammers :)

I am down for a more challenging run, as soon as I get my electrical issue resolved...

Yeah im good with whoever wants to go. As long as you dont expect a fire road or something. =)

So if we go somewhere next weekend where do you all want to go run?

hard side of Cleghorn and the pilot rock x trail. Its just super close i dont really like these but if you all havent ran all the offshoots it could be fun.
Doran and Odessa in calico?
Dishpan/Holcomb Creek/John Bull? most likely will be pretty icy but im down if the weather warms up and its not freezing.

Just keep ideas comming

I have little experience with the trails here in So Cal. So my knowledge is limited. The last time I was in Big Bear (late Jan) John Bull was frozen over, so was Gold Mt. So I'll leave the trail planning to someone that knows the trails.

Ohh Gold mtn is awful. You can do it practically in 2wd and its so bumpy!!! I can see the mountains out of my window and there isnt much snow at all in the big bear area. the last time i ran John bull was around christmas there was a foot of fresh snow and it was no biggie. Its been warm so I bet its fine.

Anytime I want a hard run I hop on the FJ Forum. They wheel hard core a couple times a month.

Mar 18, 2012 Trail Ride-Corral Canyon Bronco’s Peak,Gunslinger & Gunslinger Offshoot

I try and avoid large "forum" runs, I dont want to make requirements ect.

Im not looking for runs. I go wheeling at least once a week. Im just trying to get some 4runner people out. I started wheeling with forum members, now I just end up going with my friends. It would be cool to see new faces. There are so many runs on here that are just not what I like to do. I have had my day when the moderate runs were really fun.

Here are some pics from yesterdays excursion to cougar buttes. Ran hammerdown with a couple good friends. This would be a sick night run. Im willing to take some people down this little trail :) its a good one. It a little tight. and you would probably need a tug in a spot if you were not on 35's or double locked.

Hit me up any time you want to go find out what your truck can do

buhump

for a run? annyyone. I know its supposed to be bad weather this weekend. I have spring break in a few weeks. I have a 3 day wheeling trip planned but would still like to hit some trails with you all.

Well it snowed in Big bear, and i have kinda been wanting to make a run up there (john bull, Holcomb) but I dont really care for snow runs all that much.

bump for a hard run. Been really wanting to go run Clawhammer again. I doubt any ones up for that one. It is a great little trail. Gotta run it while the weather is nice and cool. Still down for just about anything around. Heres a list of half descent trails in the area if you see something and want to run it Hit me up

Dishpan
Holcom Creek
John bull
Odessa and Doran canyon in calico
Pilot rock (2n17x)
Hard side of cleghorn
Mottino Wash
Clawhammer
Bullfrog/Cakewalk/on the rocks
Hammer down

I have been wanting to hit up, but have never ran
Pumpkin Eater - Stoddard Wells
and Been looking at some more of the hammers. I think aftershock is doable and Big johnson. But that place can ruin a vehicle.

My good friend just bought a 99 limited with an Elocker this morning so I may be making a little trip to gold mtn or something on the easier side to get him out wheeling.

Hopefully this build some interest. Dont be askeered. I wouldnt set anyone up for failure. I just want to meet some new peeps with 4runners.

Let me know when you and your bud are thinking about Gold Mt. I might be up for a mild run. I've got a 3-4 week trip in planning to UT, CO, WY, MT, ID. The last thing I need is to destroy the rig before we leave. So a milder run outside the hammers works for me.

I'm down for some harder runs. I am usually off wednesday and Thursday, what days do you usually go out? My rig is older but I'm down for some runs.

It was a blown 7.5 amp fuse that basically runs the charging system. I am glad that was over! It took 3 tows back to the shop to find the issue...

Does the Runner have spare fuses or is it a good idea to place an order with Amazon to put some in the glove box ?

It does have I think 3 spare but none go down to 7.5amps. I would get a,spare pack though. Specially for off highway activity....
