Harder run plans?

For that gold mtn run. No because of the snow and its supposed to snow this weekend... If you want to run something in the desert im down whenever works for you all.

Ill probably roll out to the TTORA calico run on april 7-8th as much as I know this run will be slow going... Im sure you all could go

Gonna go run Claw hammer on friday night. if any one wants to join we are planning on heading out from hesperia about 5 or so should start about 7 once it cools down and hopefully doesnt take too long. My buddy is on 33's f+r locked and has ran it before. the requirements. 33's f+r locked winch and ready to pull cable Because you most likely (99%) will need it in 1 spot. 35's f+r lockers. and as always cool with some damage. (unlikely but possible)

If you wanna go HMU

we need to set something up for all the so Cal runner to meet up and run an easier trail just to get aquanted and do a photo sesh. I think that would be fun. I say this because most of us have our runners as DD's. It would be fun to go down to deep creek and have like a tail gate meet and greet. With the high desert ones at least.

Im down. There was a big run up pilot rock by silverwood 6 months or so ago. That would be cool. Im waiting for the snow to melt then I want to try ad get a good sized group up in big bear. Maybe run some cool trails There is stuff for everyone up there.

I just despise long dirt roads and I personally wouldnt drive my truck up to big bear unless it for some good wheeling. I think we (so cal section) should get a big multi lever run going on with a group meet up for lunch or what have you

yeah I hear yah on the hating dirt roads, for me its a waste of a clean truck. If I'm getting her dirty I want it to be worth my while. Yeah a few months back I was in big bear and went up and around some trails by rim of the world. You can take some nice pictures up there.

I'm down for whatever though I wanna get to know some more off road enthusiasts because I'm the only one I know with a 4x4 Toyota and I'm not a fan of jeep owners egos.

bump for a harder run. C'mon i know somone on here would want to hit up john bull, mottino wash, holcomb creek, dishpan, cougar buttes or the hammers. I guess id go hit up the hard side of cleghorn or pilot rock too if no one will do anything else. Night runs whatever.
I went on one of my first forum runs years ago off this forum, and I rarely go on any forum related runs anymore. I figure it would be cool to see some new faces.

i have a little maintenance to do and im getting my sliders installed on the 18th but after that ill be hitting you up to see what we can get into.

We just ran 2N06X(Lower Larga Flats) to 3N93(Holcomb Creek) on 4/13 and they were every bit as tough as 3N34(Dishpan Springs) though not as hard as the tough section of John Bull. The run on the 29th will be mainly 'blue square' so as to include more members( don't want to scare 'em off...yet!). If only a few more 'hardcore' ppl show, then hell yes we're goin 'black diamond'!

Just let me know if you want to go run something. I may be down for the above run, but i would like know beforehand that some other people want to on a harder run. Im just not all that interested in just cruising down bumpy dirt roads. I use to love that, but now not so much.

Im open almost every weekend. Short notice is almost always good too. Im game to try and get just about anything through those trails. Im always down to winch/highiftt and spot people. So just hit me up.

I'll be going on that run and will be down to try the harder stuff. I don't mind putting a few more dents in my bumpers/sliders/skids

you probably wont even touch the sliders....

So ya lets plan on going and running something hard. You can choose I personally dont care. Dishpan is kinda lame, and holcomb isnt great either, but I would run whatever. If you want to mention this in the thread about the BB run please do. Maybe someone else will want to go too.

Anything up there your pretty much fine with sliders and a rear locker. 31's may be a challenge on parts of john bull, but probably not impossible.

What would be the trouble with 31's? Ground clearance over certain obstacles? Approach and depart angles?

Yeah just getting high centered on stuff. Dishpan is fine for 31's. I dont see any reason why anyone would have trouble. Same goes for holcomb. Its pretty easy. John bull has 1 spot that is probably not going to happen on 31's and a rear locker only, but its easy to pull people up it. Beside that you would be fine

As long as I have sliders, I'm willing to go for it!

This is scaring me

the 1st half of that video is the spot i think is not going to happen on 31's I have had plenty of friends make it on 33's with a rear locker. its honestly not that bad. Little tippy but just fine. Last time i was up there i had no issues in the snow, even on that spot. DOnt worry you really cant dent your body up if you have sliders. Its way different for those jeeps. Worst case stack a rock or two
