One of my favorite quick trips is to take the short ride down to Rockefeller Refuge and Rutherford beach to catch some blue crabs and cruise on the beach, if your not familiar with Louisiana beaches, they arent much to look at but I do enjoying cruising on them and finding things that have floated up from offshore oil rigs...

Why does your trail not have trail headlights?

Dang, good eye, I bought it with 40k miles, car fax showed a fender bender on the front passenger side and apparently the body shop that did the repairs didn't know any better and just threw an SR5 headlight on it... So I've got one Trail and one SR5 headlight, but don't worry, I'll be taking care of that shortly

When I had my headlights replaced by Toyota the deal installed regular headlights. I was like, "they look great but those aren't the right lights..." They were like, "the TE has different headlights?"

If your asking about the road I'm on, it's Rutherford Beach Rd

Yeah I think that's the same as 359. I've never been down there, but always been curious how to actually get to the beach. Some of the roads I've looked at on maps seem to be gated.

Very true, but Grand Isle is awesome too, next time your out there check out the Surfside Grill

I have reached the age where if the music is too loud you're too old! Especially on a Saturday. And there was a Tarpon tourney going on. Lol.

We went back up to the North side of the toll bridge and ate at Leeville Seafood, which was still quite good. Loved the crab and shrimp fondue over bread.

Oh yea man, the Tarpon Rodeo is hands down the worst time to go if your looking for peace and quiet

Yeah. Forewarned is fore armed. We actually started the day intending to go to the new aviation wing at the WWII museum in NO. But as we rolled through Opelousas I got a wild hair and decided to go see Grand Isle instead. We ended up just rolling through town to the state park for a while, and then heading back out to Leeville. Both of the restaurants in town were having an amplifier war to see who could make the most noise. And the pickups full of underage drinkers were out in force.

On our way to FJ Summit 9 we spent some time in West Texas and New Mexico visiting friends in Monahans Tx and wheeling near Monticello NM ...

Decided to paint my factory TE mirrors today...
Started out by popping the mirrors out so that I could get to the clips holding the mirror covers on. Once the covers were off I cleaned them up, scuffed them thoroughly, then wiped them down with 3M adhesive remover. I sprayed them with one medium coat of Bulldog adhesion promoter, 3 medium coats of Duplicolor Perfect Match, and 3 coats of clear of increasing coverage with the final coat getting as close to having runs as possible without actually running...
