Has anyone successfully sold their running boards?

I have been trying to sell the running boards from my black 97 limited without any luck. Is there actually a demand anywhere for them? It seems like everyone just takes them off and ditches them.

ill buy the arch from the running board to the fender if you want to part them out i would think that would be the best way to get rid of them.
 
I had mine on CL for a few months. Get a few inquiries, but nothing came of it. Finally sold them to a guy whose wife dented hers by running over a big rock. Got $75 for them. Seems to be hit or miss depending on where you are.
Just keep them listed, and eventually they may sell. If not, oh well, they didn't cost you anything.

^ this is about right, they sell fairly often around here in my location, they do have worth so if you can stand them kicking around for a bit just keep them listed, it's better than just throwing $50~100 bucks away
 
It'll take some time. There are people out there that would want them. I sold mine on CL after a couple months. Maybe your price is too high? Just keep the thread or the ad updated to the top every few days.
 
I think you can sell them. Of course it depends on demand and how much you're asking for them. CL is definitely the bet place. Not many people on here are going to pay for them.
 
I sold two pairs... Both for $100 and I got both sets for free. People just had them sitting around and then said they were gonna throw them away if no one came and just picked them up... So I responded to the adds and picked them up... Saved them from having to pay to take them to the dump... But for the life of me I can't seam to sell the ones off my truck. They have been in the garage for almost two years and I can't get rid of them... It's hit and miss
 
I sold mine for $100 and shipped them to the east coast. Depending on which ones you have you should be able to sell them. Try ebay as well. Shipping them isn't that hard.
 
Sold mine about a year and a half ago on Craigslist for $75. They were on their for about 5 months before someone snagged them but sold none-the-less
 
CL ad for $100. Sold very quickly (within a day or two) at full asking price to a guy west a bit from Denver. His were the non-chrome variety and rust had hit them pretty badly; mine were immaculate. I probably should have asked for more.
 
100 bucks for mine just last month. Just got to be the right buyer. Keep them up and they will sell. Sold my bumper last night.....took forever but it sold.
