Has anyone tried Scion T1808 H/U?

Hey all, been lurking in this forum for about a week or two trying to absorb ther wealth of info here . Decided to finally start posting! Heres my question: I have a 2005 SR5 and awhile back I lost the auction to buy the Scion T1806 H/U but I did notice someone had a T1808. I was wondering if anyone knew about any compatability problems with the newer Scion H/Us with my 2005. Any help or comments would be appreciated!

I just installed a t1808 in my '03 4Runner. Works perfectly. Plugs were all compatible. It has the extra plug for the iPod, although I haven't used that yet. The t1808 has a bit more functionally than the t1807. For one thing, it's better at navigating through MP3 folders and files.

I had installed the t1807 but pulled that and subbed the t1808. The one thing thing that I had hoped for was that the t1808 would scroll the song titles, because I was disappointed that the t1807 doesn't. Well, the t1808 doesn't either. These are nice stock HUs, but it seems to me they should have genuine scrolling displays, given that it is a fairly ubiquitous technology these days, even in much cheaper gadgets.

I'm going to eBay the t1807, BTW.

Also, it may be my imagination but the t1808 seems to put out more power than the t1807, even though I had been under the impression that they were both the same wattage (160). For some reason it sounds better and I don't have to turn the volume up as high on the t1808 as I did on the t1807. Again, probably my imagination.
