Has Anyone Tried These Raptor Lights?

I found them via Google, and they seem to be the nicest option aside from the giant add-a-fuse sticking out of the fuseblock.

Those new screw in style lights are legit...that guy on IG sells tons of them with great feedback. I like no more zip ties as well.

Don't worry about your fuseblock and wire it yourself. If you know how to crimp, zip-tie, and poke a hole in the firewall, you're good to go.

It took me a little longer than a pre-made harnes, but when I was done, it was way more fulfilling knowing I didn't pay 100+ for a harness I could make myself.

Would love to source the lights only. As user above stated, paying 100+ for these wiring harnesses is silly considering how easy it is to wire up.

Bought all the materials for doing it the right way for only 50 dollars and I did that so I would have more material for future projects (flex loom, 2 colors of primary wire etc)

The lights I bought were actually to big to even put through the grille holes so mine are kinda ghetto rigged out in front lol. Looks ok since I made sure the zip ties are evenly balanced but would love to replace with screw ins if the price is right

I've researched this as well. It's really not hard to do this mod and the parts are relatively cheap and easy to acquire.

With that being said, yes you are paying a premium for his product. His lights are milled to fit the CNC brackets that he makes for the kits, the wiring is done very neatly, they are modular (you can add or delete lights as you need) and he includes a switch for you to turn the lights on and off as you like. I'm not in any way affiliated with him, I've just looked into his product as well as the other options (the 3-D printed ones with the circular lights, for example). If you want something that is pretty much custom, easy to install, with less hassle and is pretty nice, it's a good option

Amber marked lights are required in some states for vehicles that are over 80” wide.
The raptor is 83” wide, and you’ll see them on duallies too, although often on the roof.

Which is why some people think they look absurd on a 66” wide 4Runner

I was looking into buying new marker lights that would sit flush with the grill instead of sitting out front. I couldn't find any with the exception of the ones being sold on IG for $130 which to me is too steep for something I put together for $30 worth of amazon products. So I took a closer look at the lights the guy was selling to see if I could tell which brand they were so I can buy some online and replace my current ones. The closer I looked the more I swore it looked like he just dremels out the plastic on the edges of the Grand General lights and shrink wraps them so they look clean and fit flush. That's this weekends project.

Very clean lights. I wouldn't do that stupid add a fuse instead I'd probably wire them off of the running lights with a nice relay. Being LEDs you probably wouldn't even need a relay. Pricey option but nice

Yeah I’m not sure why anyone goes the add-a-fuse path. Tap into the running lights and you’re good to go, no relay or fuse needed. You could run a switch if u wanted to but I wouldn’t.

If you didn't want to go the zip tie route a bolt & nut with a large washer behind the grille would do the trick (which I think some T4R user's did).

I'm more interested in the brackets and hardware to mount the lights, using zip-ties is a definite no-go for me. The harness is just a bonus, but even then I'd change it to not use the add-a-fuse.

I actually bought them a week ago. Been following since November and like the way they look. This is the style I picked showing off and on (ambers with clear lenses). Look forward to installing them soon. He actually does top notch job on modular harness and switch for inside actually trimmed to pre-bought blank. Should be cool. I like it IMHO.

I looked at those ones too before buying Roonieboy's…. to me the bracket was not as clean (no offense to Gunn's as I admire anyone who comes up with this stuff and 3d printing really opens the door for the mod world). But the up close on the 3d printed bracket was a bit crude and when installed (forgot where the YouTube was I watched) it wiggled a bit whereas Ronnies is solid and super clean.

It is a cheaper route and you make your own wiring/switch if you want it which I actually don't mind, but Ronnieboy's brackets are just super tight and super clean and he also happens to do a pro quality job on the harness and makes it modular (add or subtract or swap lights down the road without redoing anything). And finally he went to the trouble to buy a ton of switch blanks from Toyota and retrofit a switch with your choice of color to match your interior illumination and make it all look super OE.

OK so I say all this stuff from watching YouTube, talking to reviewers who have installed both but haven't actually gotten Ronnieboy's lights yet and so can't give the final thumbs up until I actually get them and put them in my own rig. I am just conveying my reasons for spending the $200 rather than going less expensive with another option.
