Has anyone tried this on a 3rd gen? (rear window mod)

Could this also be achived with an aftermarket alarm/remote system and some relays of some sort? I remember when I had an Acura a while back I was able to incorporate rolling the windows down and up when I wanted with the remote....This was quite a few years ago too....I am sure something is out there that can do this for the 3G....

Very easy to do with aftermarket alarm. As far as anyone doing the mod on their 3rd gen I don't believe anyone has tried yet.

Yeah this can be done with an aftermarket system. I'd like to stick with the factory remote however, like this guy did with his 4th gen.

Sometime this summer I'm going to look into this some more to see what I can dig up. Heck I might find time this weekend, I have to take the back interior panel off already this weekend.

Just thought I'd see if anyone had played with it already. :bigok:

I wouldn't need the remote to do it...if it was just a switch I could stuff up above the license plate...that would work. It could only function as a "window up" switch, though...for obvious reasons!

Doesn't your key work for this when you stick it in and turn it when the window is down?

I'll be honest, I REALLY want to do this to my runner. Not sure I will do it the exact same way he did, but it gives me some good ideas.

Oh cool! So I could wire an external momentary switch that just moves the window up? That'd be perfect for my needs. I mean, an option using the remote would be perfect, but short of that, an external switch mounted up above the license plate would be awesome.
