True, there have been no major changes to the current generation since it was introduced in 2003.

Several exterior cosmetic changes
Structural reinforcements added to B-pillar (between front and rear side doors)

Stereo units added MP3/WMA (unprotected) playback and 1/8" aux jack in center console
Navigation system upgraded (Bluetooth support)
Memory added for driver's power seat position on Limited trim level
Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES) available as an option
2007:
Criuse control changed to keep memory set even if speed drops below 25 MPH
Rearview mirror changed slightly (1 button rather than 2)
2008:
Off switch for VSC added to disable it if desired
Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) changed to detect missing transmitter faster (20 minutes; was 51 minutes)
Side airbags became standard equipment
Mid-2008:
An "Urban Runner" factory option package was added, based on the Sport Edition. A couple of details from the Limited are included (18" wheels, body-color grille trim, simulated wood grain instrument cluster and door trim), plus some unique touches like Alcantala leather seat bolsters and a unique spoiler and roof rack rails. 2009:
An "SR5 Trail Edition" factory option package was added. Requires 4x4 V6. Includes locking rear diff, ATRAC, Bilstein shocks, 16" wheels, tubular side steps/roof rack, water-resistant seats, a TomTom navigation unit, and Bluetooth/iPod connectivity.
The location of the rear window switch was moved from the center of the dash to the center console.
