Hatch strut question

Just replaced my hatch struts. There are 2 washers that I'm not sure where they go. The one side fell out and I didn't notice it. When I did pass side I saw it fall but not sure where it came from .. Too, bottom etc. can anyone shed light on this ?

I'm assuming you're talking about the curved washers on the bottom, one on each strut. On my 4Runner, they are both on the inner side between the strut and the door stay bracket. The top assembly doesn't have any washers, just the grommet on the bracket. I took pictures of each assembly and added them below in case it helps. :thumb:

When I purchased it in August, I grabbed a set from the salvage yard to replace the weak ones that were on it. That set is better, but still a little worn out. What did you replace yours with and does it keep it from drooping a little and knocking you in the head when you stand back up? :lmao:

thank you sir. I replaced with the strongarm ones from ebay. so far they are ok.when i installed they brought the hatch all the way up. Now with temps near freezing they dont go all the way up.
