Have a question about head lights.

I have a 06 limited and I want to get some black head and tail lights.

My first question is, are my stock lights leds? I've heard that before, but I wasn't sure.

My second question, how are these different from my current lights:

Third, are those ^^ LEDs?

Hey,

Factory front lights are not Led. Those rears u posted r neither..There a few threads on here of people smoking the lights and painting the inside of them n all. I personally if i was u depending on the color of your vehicle would go with a smoked out rear light and some HID's in the headlight n foglights and also paint the inside of your headlights. They come out mad sweet.

I have those taillights if you take a look at my build thread. I also am planning on painting the inside of my headlight housings black. Theres a set of blacked out headlights in the classifieds section here for pics and if you're interested in buying rather than diy.

Nvm those headlights i referenced in the classifieds wouldn't fit an 06 without retrofitting. You may still be able to paint the insides of yours though, and get an idea of how to do it by searching the forum.

Btw, not sure if the 03-05 taillights would fit your ride either. Someone else should be able to weigh in on that though.

And your stock taillights are LEDs. That middle red section has a bunch of leds in them. The 03-05s are all just regular bulbs.

05 headlights & 06 r different shape, the inside corner tip is absent on the 06 lights to make room for the grille & the bottom isnt the same, so it uses a different trim piece. low beam bulbs r different for those years as well. besides that, even if u trimmed the 06 grille to fit them, & swapped the other stuff, without going into detail, ive heard the halos arnt very good & would be a down grade, the taillights would also be a down grade, since ur 06's r led. paint ur stock 06 lights or have someone do it 4 u, maybe tint ur tails if anything. i think GATEROSE may do the headlights for members.
